Abstract Addition of polyfunctionalized aryl, heteroaryl, and tertiary alkylmagnesium reagents to tertiary nitroalkanes at 25 °C in tetrahydrofuran produces, after reductive workup with FeCl2 and NaBH4 in ethanol, the corresponding polyfunctional secondary amines in high yields.
