The complexes C5H5(PMe3Co(μ-CO)2Mn(CO)C5H4Me (I), C5H5Co(PMe3)-(SPh)2 (III), C5H5Co(PMe3)(SCF3)2 (IV), C5H5Co(PMe3)S5 (V), C5H5Co(PMe3)-C2(CN)4 (VI), C5H5Co(PMe3)(η2-CS2) (VII), C5H5Co(CO)CNMe (VIII) and C5H5Co(CO)P(OMe)3 (IX) are prepared using C5H5Co(PMe3)CO (II) as the starting material. The reactions of IX with methyl iodide and iodine yield the cyclopentadienylcobalt (III) compounds C5H5CoCOCH3[P(OMe)3]I
