The reaction of C6H5CCl2Li with perfluorinated mono and diesters yields fluorochloroketones in high yield. Hydrolysis of such compounds produces alpha-beta fluorinated di- and tetra-ketones, respectively. Various hydrates of the fluorinated ketones have been identified.
