Kinetics of reactions of ethylp-nitrophenyl ethylphosphonate with anionic nucleophiles in a detergentless microemulsion

The kinetics of reactions of ethylp-nitrophenyl ethylphosphonate with anionic nucleophiles in a detergentless water—oil microemulsion, formed in then-hexane—water—isopropyl alcohol system, was studied. The rate constants of the reactions in the microemulsion are higher than those in aqueous solutions and increase with increasing isopropyl alcohol: water ratio.
A flame-retardant resin composition comprising the following components (A), (B), (C) and (D): (A) 100 parts by weight of a thermoplastic resin comprising ① a polycarbonate resin, or ② a polycarbonate resin and a non-polycarbonate resin, (B) from 0.1 to 40 parts by weight of a phosphorus compound, (C) from 0.001 to 40 parts by weight of a boron compound, and (D) from 0.01 to 5 parts by weight of a polyorganosiloxane and/or from 0.001 to 5 parts by weight of a fluorine resin.
The present invention relates to halogen-free flameproof thermoplastic molding compounds which comprise an aromatic polycarbonate, a styrene-containing copolymer, a styrene-containing graft polymer, a phosphorus compound, a silicon compound, and a tetrafluoroethylene polymer. It has been found that the use of a specific type of silicon compound leads to a polymer mixture having improved stress crack resistance and impact properties.

There are provided a polycarbonate copolymer (A) which has excellent light resistance and heat resistance and comprises an aromatic dihydroxy component comprising 5 to 95 mol% of fluorene-skeleton-containing dihydroxy compound (1) having a specific structure and 95 to 5 mol% of ordinary bisphenol type dihydroxy compound (2), the content of fluorene-9-one in the copolymer being not higher than 15 ppm; and a polycarbonate composition comprising 0.01 to 5 parts by weight of ultraviolet absorber (B) based on 100 parts by weight of the copolymer (A), and the composition comprising the copolymer.
