    The reaction of sulfur dioxide (SO2) with 1-propanethiol (NPT), 2-propanethiol (IPT), or 2-methyl-2-propanethiol (TBT) catalyzed by boron trifluoride ethrate (BF3OEt2) was investigated. The ratios of dialkyl trisulfide to dialkyl disulfide obtained (RSSSR/RSSR) at an early stage of the reaction were larger than 1 for the reaction of TBT and less than 1 for the reaction of NPT or IPT.     can be considered as a reductive disulfuration variation of the classic Sandmeyer reaction, is performed under mild conditions and exhibits broad scope across the aniline substrate and disulfur transfer reagent classes. The gram-scale synthesis of disulfides is successfully achieved through this method, rendering the approach highly valuable.

    Two new synthetic approaches to 1,2-dithiole-3-thione are proposed. The title compound is formed by thermolysis of dipropyl polysulfides (n-Pr)2Sx (x = 3–4) and thermal decomposition of polysulfide dendrimers under reduced pressure. The latter reaction may be recommended for utilization of organochlorine waste products in the manufacture of epichlorohydrin, which are used for the synthesis of dendrimers.

    A moisture-curable resin composition comprising (a) a moisture-curable polymer having at least one hydrolysable silyl group; (b) a reactive modifier; (c) a catalyst for catalyzing the reaction between the moisture-curable polymer (a) and reactive modifier (b) under curing conditions; and optionally, the composition can contain one or more conventional components, including pigments, fillers, curing catalysts, dyes, plasticizers, thickeners, coupling agents, extenders, volatile organic solvents, wetting agents, tackifiers, crosslinking agents, thermoplastic polymers, ultraviolet stabilizers, and combination thereof. The moisture-curable resin composition is useful in the production of adhesives including hot melt adhesives, primers, sealants and coatings.
