Elusive O═P≡N, a Rare Example of Phosphorus σ2λ5-Coordination
摘要:
Two linear isomers, OPN and ONP, were formed in an Ar matrix at 16 K by ArF laser (lambda = 193 nm) photolysis of phosphoryl triazide, OP(N-3)(3), and comprehensively characterized by their mid- and far-IR spectra as well as N-14/15 isotopic data. Two intermediates, (N-3)(2)P(O)N and N3P(O)N-4, have been isolated in an Ar matrix and spectroscopically characterized. Photolysis of these intermediates using near-LTV/vis light (lambda > 320 rim) was shown to yield exclusively ONP, which under ArF laser irradiation selectively photo-isomerized to OPN. The photochemical and molecular properties of OPN and ONP are discussed on the basis of experimental and ab initio calculated results.
Synthesis and Characterization of the Phosphorus Triazides OP(N3)3 and SP(N3)3
摘要:
Two explosive triazides of phosphorus(V), OP(N-3)(3) and SP(N-3)(3), have been prepared as neat substances and structurally characterized. Both compounds can be handled in gas, liquid, and solid states in submillimolar quantities. The melting points of OP(N-3)(3) and SP(N-3)(3) are +22 and -30 degrees C, respectively. The two triazides have been characterized by IR (Ar matrix and gas phase) and Raman (solid) spectroscopies. Their single-crystal structures were obtained by X-ray diffraction and found to be significantly distorted from the predicted ideal C-3 symmetry because of intermolecular interactions. The spectroscopic and structural properties are discussed in combination with density functional theory calculations.
The invention concerns a series of novel bis-urea derivatives, nonpeptides, which show good binding affinity for the CCK-B receptor. The compounds, compositions containing them, methods of preparation, and utilities including anxiety, gastric acid secretion inhibition, and psychoses are included.
