  The invention describes novel diuretic compounds comprising at least one heterocyclic nitric oxide donor group, or pharmaceutically acceptable salts thereof, and novel composition comprising at least one diuretic compound comprising at least one heterocyclic nitric oxide donor group, and optionally, at least one nitric oxide enhancing compound and/or at least one therapeutic agent.
