Eye:
May cause eye irritation. This product contains a cationic dye.
Similar dyes have caused permanent injury to the cornea and conjunctiva in documented exposure cases with human or rabbit eyes.

Section 4 - FIRST AID MEASURES
Eyes: Flush eyes with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes, occasionally lifting the upper and lower eyelids. Get medical aid immediately.

以3-乙氨基-5-甲基苯酚 (Ⅱ) 22.65g (150mmol) 和邻苯二甲酸酐 22.2g (150mmol),溶于250mL氯苯中,加入ZnCl₂ 17.6g,充氮气,在190℃反应6h后冷却、过滤并干燥。用甲醇-氯仿(1∶1)混合溶液重结晶,得到紫色固体 (1a) 16.7g。

罗丹明6G(异构体1b)的合成

以 (1a) 33.2g (80mmol),溶于乙醇中进行酯化反应后冷却。加入四氟硼酸钾1mol/L水溶液100mL,生成沉淀并过滤干燥。用甲醇重结晶,得紫色固体 (1b) 31.5g。

罗丹明6G还可用作染料和颜料,如适用于染蚕丝及羊毛、棉纤维等。它也可用于皮革、纸张着色,并在制造高级油墨的颜料时与磷钨钼酸反应生成色淀。此外,还可用于腈纶、毛、丝的染色。

化学性质上,罗丹明6G是一种暗绿紫红色闪光结晶,在水中呈带绿色荧光的猩红色;溶于乙醇时为带黄色荧光的红色;在浓硫酸中呈现黄色,稀释后变为红色。其水溶液加入氢氧化钠会产生猩红色沉淀。

用途上,碱性红 6G DN 适用于染蚕丝以及蚕丝织物直接印花。一般用于中性、酸性直接染料多色套印中作点缀色彩之用,不印大、中块面花型;在染羊毛、棉纤维时,色牢度较差。

生产方法上,罗丹明6G以 3-乙氨基对甲苯酚 (p-cresol, 3-ethylamino) 和苯酐为原料,首先将两者缩合,然后再用乙醇进行酯化即得产物。

Uses for the linkers include attachment of blocking groups to nucleotides in enzymatic oligonucleotide synthesis.
