    A conductive roll to be used as a developing roll, a charging roll, a transfer roll or the like in an electrophotographic apparatus such as a copying machine, a printer or a facsimile, of the present invention comprises a base rubber layer formed on a peripheral surface of a shaft, an intermediate layer formed on a peripheral surface of the base rubber layer, and a surface layer formed on a peripheral surface of the intermediate layer, the surface layer being composed of a resin composition comprising: (A) a silicone-grafted acrylic polymer which comprises repeating units represented by the following general formula (1), wherein an acrylic polymer portion of the silicone-grafted acrylic polymer exclusive of a structural portion derived from a siloxane has a glass-transition temperature of -35 to 30°C:-(Y)k- -(Z)n- (wherein Y is a structural portion derived from an acrylic monomer; Z is a structural portion derived from the acrylic monomer, which has a graft portion derived from a siloxane; k is a positive number of 1 to 3,000; and n is a positive number of 1 to 3,000); and (B) an isocyanate curing agent. According to the present invention, the use of the component (B) enhances the cross-linking of the silicone-component (B) enhances the cross-linking of the silicone-grafted acrylic polymer (A), and thus the surface layer of the conductive roll has an appropriately cross-linked state, so that the conductive roll can be obtained which is superior both in smear resistance and in toner filming resistance.

    A mucosal adjustment material comprising a combination of a powdery material (a) and a liquid material (b), characterized especially in that a noncrosslinked (meth)acrylic polymer powder having a Tg in the range of 0-60 DEG C, e.g., polybutyl methacrylate, is used as the powdery material and a liquid polymer which has a mass-average molecular weight of 1,000-10,000 and in which the content of oligomers having a molecular weight of 500 or lower is 10 mass% or lower is used as the liquid material. Such powdery material and liquid material are kneaded together to prepare a paste, which is applied to a denture base and used as a temporary relining material. This mucosal adjustment material in a paste form is reduced in the amount of ingredients eluted from the material during use in the mouth. In an ordinary use period, the relining material retains its initial flexibility and does not deteriorate the denture base.

The water drops on the casting film (22) passing through a second area (47) are grown and the organic solvent thereof is evaporated. The water drops on the casting film (22) passing through a third area (48) are evaporated. The casting film (22) after passing through the third area (48) is peeled from the endless belt (51) as a flexible porous film (17) by a peel roller (57).

    A responsive microgel is provided which responds volumetrically and reversibly to a change in one or more aqueous conditions selected from the group consisting of (temperature, pH, and ionic conditions) comprised of an ionizable network of covalently cross-linked homopolymeric ionizable monomers wherein the ionizable network is covalently attached to an amphiphilic copolymer to form a plurality of ‘dangling chains’ and wherein the ‘dangling chains’ of amphiphilic copolymer form immobile micelle-like aggregates in aqueous solution. A responsive microgel is further provided that comprises at least one therapeutic entity and delivers a substantially linear and sustained release of the therapeutic entity under physiological conditions.
