  Disclosed are a (E)-1-[[(2E,4E)-1-hexyl-2,4-octadecadienyl]oxy]-2­hydroxydiazine compound represented by Chemical Formula I, below, or its pharmaceutically acceptable base addition salt, a method of preparing the compound, and a pharmaceutical composition comprising the compound for treating or preventing hepatitis. [Chemical Formula I] The compound of the present invention has an inhibitory effect on HBV activity as well as being effective in reducing HBV levels. Therefore, the compound of the present invention is very useful as a therapeutic agent for treatment of hepatitis.
