  In the title compound, 3-methyl-4-(4-nitrobenzylidenenitrilo)-4,5-dihydro-1H-1,2,4-triazole-5- (C10H9N5O2S), the triazole ring is in a planar form. The whole molecule lies in a crystallographic plane. The mean planes through the triazole ring and the phenyl ring form a dihedral angle of 15.9(1)degrees. There is an intermolecular N-H...O hydrogen bond.
