  Die Erfindung betrifft insbesondere pharmazeutische Präparate, enthaltend N-(Piperidinyl-alkyl)-carboxamide der allgemeinen Formel worin R Hydroxy, mit einem aliphatischen Alkohol verethertes Hydroxy oder Halogen bedeutet, Ar, für einen monocyclischen Arylen- bzw. Heteroarylenrest steht, alk eine die beiden N-Atomen durch mindestens zwei C-Atome trennende Alkylengruppe darstellt, X für die freie oder eine ketalisierte Carbonylgruppe, freies oder mit einer organischen Carbonsäure verestertes Hydroxymethylen oder Methylen steht, und Ar2 einen monocyclischen Aryl- bzw. Heteroarylrest darstellt, und ihre Salze, die Verwendung dieser Verbindungen der Formel 1 und ihrer Salze, neue Verbindungen der Formel I und ihre Salze. Die Verbindungen der Formel weisen beispielsweise antipsychotische Eingenschaften auf.
