  Disclosed are selected 2-trichloromethyl-4-pyrimidinyl carbonates having the formula: ##STR1## wherein X is an atom selected from the group consisting of oxygen and sulfur; R is a lower alkyl group having 1 to 4 carbon atoms or a phenyl group; R.sup.1 is hydrogen or halo; and R.sup.2 is a lower alkyl group having 1 to 4 carbon atoms. These compounds are disclosed to be agricultural fungicides.
