  The title compounds were prepared by direct synthesis, in good yields. Diamines used include ethylenediamine, trimethylenediamine, piperazine, and N-(2-aminoethyl)aziridine. Structures of the unsymmetrically substituted diamines were proved by i.r. spectral data and unambiguous synthesis. The dihydrochlorides of a number of these compounds were also prepared.

  RR′2Si(CH2)nNHCH2CH2NH2 (R = CH3, 4-CH3C6H5, C6H5; R′ = CH3, C6H5; n = 1 – 3) and [(CH3)3Si(CH2)3NHCH2]2 and the siloxane derivatives (NH2(CH2)2NH(CH2)3Si(CH3)2]2O and NH2(CH2)2N(CH2Si(CH3)2O were allowed to react with K2PtCl4 or K2PtI4 to produce the corresponding cis-dioaminodichloroplatinum(II) compounds in yields ranging from 63 to 97%.
