Solid-Phase Parallel Synthesis of Phosphite Ligands

Various routes for the synthesis of polymer-bound phosphites and phosphoramidites have been investigated. In the presence of a suitable activator the supported phosphoramidites react cleanly with alcohols to give the corresponding monodentate phosphite ligands in solution. We have applied this novel solid-phase route in the parallel synthesis of several monodentate chiral and achiral phosphite ligands.
Synthesis and Application of Chiral Phosphorus Ligands Derived from TADDOL for the Asymmetric Conjugate Addition of Diethyl Zinc to Enones

been found to occur with 0.5% copper(II) triflate and 1% chiralphosphite. Cyclic phosphites derived from TADDOL gave excellent to moderate enantiomeric excesses. The nature of the exocyclic substituent of the dioxaphospholane ring is important, but the chiral induction is imposed by the TADDOL framework. Syntheses of all the TADDOL ligands are described.
