A method of copolymerizing a non-polar olefin with a polar olefin, catalyzed by a late transition metal complex in the presence of a free radical scavenger, to produce a linear poly[(non-polar olefin)-(polar olefin)] substantially free of free radical addition polymer is also disclosed.
