Specifically, in the presence of [SnCl4-l-ethyl-3-methylimidazolium chloride ([EMIM] CI)], [SnCl4-l, 3-dimethylimidazolium methyl sulfate ([DMIM] CH3SO4)], [SnCl2-l-ethyl-3-methylimidazolium chloride ([EMIM] CI)], or [SnCl2-l, 3-dimethylimidazolium methyl sulfate ([DMIM] CH3S04)] in methanol.
