retrievable nanocomposite was prepared by in situ polycondensation and entrapment of iron oxide nanoparticles. This material was found to be efficient in trapping excess electrophilic reagents such as carbonylcompounds, acid chlorides and isothiocyanates. Advantages of the new scavenger include facile preparation, high loading capacity, low cost, satisfactory swelling properties in polar solvents, and

this work, efficient, mild, and eco-friendly procedure of 1-aminoalkyl-2-phenol/Betti base from one-pot three-component condensations of aldehyde, phenol, and morpholine in the presence of sulfated polyborate catalyst, under a solvent-free condition at 100 °C, is described. The key advantages of the present method are short reaction time, high yields, aqueous work-up procedure, low cost, stable, reusable

starting from salicylaldehyde and its derivatives. The obtained compounds were tested against a large panel of microorganisms, Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria, and a yeast. Among the several tertiary amine derivativestested, indoline-derived aminophenols containing a nitro group at the para-phenol position showed considerable activity against bacteria tested with minimal inhibitory concentrations
Solvent-free reactions of salicylaldehyde with various boronicacids and amines were accomplished under ball-milling conditions to achieve the corresponding alkyl- and arylaminophenols in good to excellent yields. This simple protocol offers advantages such as high yields, shorter reaction times, simple workup procedure and eco-friendliness.
