/Investigators/ found that pentaborane formed a non-volatile, hydrolysis intermediate product in the bloodstream because rats given tritium labeled pentaborane by ip injection evolved about 36% of tritium as molecular hydrogen over 3 hr period. The circulating concentrations of the metabolic intermediate slowly declined and the tritium label slowly exchanged with the that of body water.

  The mixed anhydride method was applied to synthesize O-aryl O-ethyl phenylphosphonothionate. The reaction of O, O-diethyl phosphorochloridate with O-ethyl phenylphosphonothioic acid afforded O, O-diethyl phosphoric O-ethyl phenylphosphonothioic anhydride in a good yield.
