  The title compound, C10H17B10NO, contains a close carbonane cage linked via a methyleneoxy tether to a substituted benzene ring. The carborane cage is essentially a regular dodecahedron with slight distortions owing to the presence of C-C and C-B bonds. The mean B-B bond distance is 1.77(1) Angstrom, the mean C-B bond distance is 1.71(1) Angstrom and the cage C-C distance is 1.648 (2) Angstrom.
