azidation of unactivated aliphatic C–H bonds with easily handled sulfonyl azides as azide source without the use of transition metals has been explored. This method is operationally simple, scalable, and applicable to late-stage azidation of natural products and derivatives, which make it a valuable method for the synthesis of organic azides.
