    The present invention pertains to elastic films having at least one layer comprising a substantially random interpolymer or a blend thereof. The interpolymer comprises polymer units derived from at least C 2-20 &agr;-olefin and (i) at least one vinyl aromatic monomer, or (ii) at least one aliphatic or cycloaliphatic vinyl or vinylidene monomer, or (iii) a combination of at least one aromatic vinyl monomer and at least one aliphatic or cycloaliphatic vinyl or vinylidene monomer. The interpolymer may also comprise one or more ethylenically unsaturated polymerizable monomers other than those previously mentioned. The elastic films have a recovery in the cross direction of greater than or equal to about 80% and has a recovery in the machine direction of greater than or equal to about 60%.

    A polymeric film has a polyester substrate layer and an adherent layer of an acrylic resin and a phthalate ester. The adherent layer preferably contains an additional cross-linking agent. The adherent layer exhibits improved adhesion to the substrate and to a range of subsequently applied layers, such as inks and lacquers, vinyl chloride polymer.

    Compositions comprising isocyanate capped polyurethane prepolymers and select mono-benzyl phthalate plasticizers, e.g., 7-(2,6,6,8-tetramethyl-4-oxa-3-oxo-nonyl) benzylphthalate, exhibit better isocyanate stability than prepolymer compositions comprising other plasticizers common in polyurethane systems. Curing compositions comprising these prepolymers, the select mono-benzyl phthalate plasticizers, and methylenedianiline coordination complex curing agents exhibit improved processing characteristics and yield elastomeric polyurethanes with lower compression set, higher break strength and lower color than similar composition comprising plasticizers such as benzoate plasticizers.

    Provided in the present invention is a solid catalyst component for use in olefin polymerisation, comprising Mg, Ti, a halogen, and at least one electron donor, the electron donor being a 2-substituted amino-phenyl ester compound selected from general formula (I). Also disclosed in the present invention are a catalyst comprising the solid catalyst component, and an application for the catalyst in olefin polymerisation, particularly in propylene polymerization. Also provided in the present invention is a high activity catalyst, said catalyst being able to obtain polypropylene of high isotacticity and wide molecular weight distribution, and not requiring an external electron donor to obtain high isotacticity polypropylene; during polymerization, Al/Ti and Al/Si are reduced, the polymerization time is lengthened, and high activity can still be maintained, suitable for producing low-ash polymers.
