1. Äscigenin besitzt auf Grund ebullioskopischer Molekular-gewichtsbestimmungen an seinem Acetat die Formel C30H48O5 und nicht die Formel C35H56O6, wie bisher angenommen wurde.

1,2,2,5-Tetramethyltetralin and 1,2,2,5,6-pentamethyltetralin have been synthesized and identified as recemates in crude oil and are proposed from dehydrogenation experiments as intermediates in the formation of alkylnaphthalenes in crude oil.

Wightionolide isolated from the leaves of Andrographiswightiana Arn. ex Nees is shown to be 17,19,20-trihydroxy-5β,8αH,9βH,10α-labd-13-en-16,15-olactone (XII). The molecular structure of the dibromo-triacetate (V) of wightionolide has been determined by X-ray diffraction studies.
