    Oligomeric 2,5-thienylenes and 3-methyl-2,5-thienylenes have been synthesized by NiCl2(dppp)(dppp = Ph2PCH2CH2CH2PPh2) coupling of Grignard compounds with the appropriate bromothiophene; u.v. spectra and oxidation potentials of the oligomers are dicussed in terms of coplanarity of the oligomeric species.

    New electrically conductive material suitable particularly for a secondary battery and a process for preparing the electrically conductive material are provided. The process for the preparation of the electrically conductive material comprises the steps of reacting a compound having conjugated double bonds with an oxidizing agent wherein the oxidizing agent comprises a cupric compound and a nitrile compound. The electrically conductive material comprises grainy polypyrrole obtained by reacting a pyrrole compound with an oxidizing agent which is constituted by primary particles having an average particle size of 0.01 to 0.4 µm and has a press molding density of 1 to 1.6 g/cm³.

    The invention relates to a dispersion of electrically conductive particles, comprising a binder and an electrically conductive polymer, and a stabiliser in a dispersing medium. The dispersion according to the invention is characterised in that the particles contain a non-ionic stabiliser. It has been found that the stability of the dispersion according to the invention is very good. In addition the dispersion according to the invention is extremely suitable for providing objects with a coating in a simple manner. The applied coating has good electrically conductive properties as well as good coating properties. The applied coating is homogeneously distributed over the coated object. Moreover the applied coating appears to adhere well to the object.

The invention also relates to a process for the preparation of the aqueous coating dispersion and to the use thereof in an anticorrosive paint, to the anticorrosive paint based on the aqueous coating dispersion according to the invention and to the metals protected herewith.
