  Die Erfindung betrifft neue Azolylalkyl-pyridinyl-äther, mehrere Verfahren zu ihrer Herstellung sowie ihre Verwendung als Fungizide. Die Verbindungen der Formel in welcher A, R, X, Y und n die in der Beschreibung angegebene Bedeutung besitzen, können z. B. erhalten werden. wenn man Azolylhalogenketone mit Pyridinoien in Gegenwart eines Säurebindemittels und gegebenenfalls in Gegenwart eines Verdünnungsmittels umsetzt. Daneben gibt es noch andere Verfahren. Die erfindungsgemaßen Wirkstoffe weisen eine starke fungitoxische Wirkung auf. Sie können mit besonders gutem Erfolg zur Bekampfung echter Mehltaupilze verwendet werden außerdem auch zur Bekämpfung von Venturia-Arten sowie der Pilze Pyricularia und Pellicularia.
