reactions of vinyl-, styryl-, and benzyl-substituted digermanes were investigated by chemical trapping experiments. Photolysis of vinylpentamethyldigermane afforded 1-trimethyl-2-(pentamethyldigermyl)ethane as a major product, and styrylpentamethyldigermanes gave mainly styryltrimethylgermane.
