  The invention provides phosphoramido compounds of general formula wherein X is oxygen or sulfur; R and R' are independently selected from alkyl and alkenyl groups of up to twenty carbon atoms, phenyl, and phenalkyl groups of up to ten carbon atoms; R7 and R3 are independently selected from alkyl, alkenyl, alkynyl, haloalkyl and alkylthioalkyl groups of up to ten carbon atoms; phenyl, napthyl, pyridyl, and thienyl group; and phenalkyl and phenalkenyl groups of up to ten carbon atoms, wherein any phenyl, naphthyl, pyridyl or thienyl ring may be substituted by from one to three substituents selected from halogen atoms and nitro, C1-4alkyl, C1-4alkoxy, amino, mono- and di-(C1-4alkyl)amino, and mono- and di-(C1-4ialkylaminocarbonyl groups; or R2 is as defined above and R3 is a moiety -NR4R5, wherein R4 is C,4alkyl, phenyl, or phenalkyl of up to ten carbon atoms, R5 is hydrogen or one of the moieties represented by R4, or R4 and R5 together with the interjacent nitrogen atom represent 1-piperidino or 1-morpholino; their preparation; and their use as pesticides.
