A series of new trichloromethyl- and alkoxy-substituted pyrido[2,3-d]pyrimidine derivatives were obtained from trichloromethyl-substituted pyrimidines with vicinal amino and acyl groups synthesized based on the reaction of trichloroacetonitrile with β-diketone diaminomethylidene derivatives.

synthesis of 5-acetyl-6-amino-4-methylsulfanylpyrimidines substituted at the exocyclic nitrogen atom, which were further oxidized with m-chloroperbenzoic acid to the corresponding methylsulfonylpyrimidines. Reactions of hydrazines with these pyrimidines containing vicinal Ac and MeS (or MeSO2) groups were used for the preparation of new4-aminopyrazolo[3,4-d]pyrimidine derivatives.

Nenitzescureaction of acetyl ketene aminals (N,N-acetals) was investigated. The interaction of 2-acetyl-1-amino-1-anilinoethene with benzoquinone gave 3-acetyl-2-amino-7a-hydroxy-1-phenyl-5,7a-dihydro-1H-indol-5-one, which was then transformed into 3-acetyl-2-amino-6-chloro-5-hydroxy-1-phenylindole. Structures of boron chelates of mono- and diacylketene aminals

The molecular and crystal structures of diphenylboron chelates of acetylketene N-benzoylaminal and 2-(N-benzoyl)diaminomethylene-4-dimethylaminomethylenecyclohexane-1,3-dione and the structure of the difluoroboron complex of diacetylketene N-benzoylaminal were established. It was found that the aminovinylcarbonyl fragment of the ligand is involved in the formation of a boron-containing ring. A delocalized It-electron system over the NCCCO fragment of the chelate ring is characteristic of the molecules studied both in crystals and solutions.

By reaction of N,N-acetals of acylketenes with tosylazide there were synthesized 5-amino-4-acyl-1,2,3-triazoles substituted at the endo(N1)- or exocyclic nitrogen atom. Triazoles containing a free NH2 group were used in the synthesis of the corresponding 8-azapurines and 4-acetyl-5-benzoylamino-1,2,3-triazole afforded 2-methyl-2H,4H-1,2,3-triazolo[4,5-b]pyridin-7-one.
