N,S- and N,O-Substituted Stannylenes: Preparation and X-ray Diffraction Studies

The reaction of 2 equiv of Sn[N(SiMe3)2]2 with 1,2-benzodithiol gave the unstable N,S-substituted bis-stannylene 1, which decomposes in solution to yield Sn[N(SiMe3)2]2 and the S-heterocyclic stannylene 2. An X-ray diffraction analysis with crystals of 1 revealed the presence of two three-coordinated tin atoms with an S,S,N donor set and strong intramolecular Sn−S interactions. The related reaction
