  The reaction of H2, R3SiH or R2SiH2 with P5Ph5 in the presence of stoichiometric B(C6F5)3 results in excellent yields of the phosphine–borane adducts (PhPH2)B(C6F5)3, ((R3Si)PhPH)B(C6F5)3 and ((R2SiH)PhPH)B(C6F5)3, respectively.
