A hydroxo-and phenoxo-bridged dinuclear Nickel(II) Complex: structure and characterization

The structure and properties of the dinuclear complex [Ni(II) 2 ( μ -LO)( μ -OH)](ClO 4 ) 2 . 2CH 3 CN(1) (LOH=2,6-bis((bis (2-(2-pyridyl)ethyl)amino)methyl)phenol is reported. The structure of the cation [Ni(II) 2 ( μ -LO)( μ -OH)] 2 shows two doubly bridged, square pyramidal Ni(II) ions. The electronic absorption spectrum showed maxima at 204, 264, 300, 362, 607 and 820 nm. Cyclic voltammetry in
