  具有五元环系统的环烯烃，如双环[3.3.0]辛烯-2-（1a，2,3-二氢呋喃（1b）和2,5-二氢呋喃（1c）与苯基异氰酸酯在（Lig）Ni 0-上反应。体系（Lig =三环己基膦）通过氧化1：1 CC偶联形成三环己基膦-5-氮杂镍酰基戊基-4-酮衍生物，已证明这些络合物是催化反应的中间体，其中仅β-镍杂环系统以外的位置由于顺式而发生-双环或三环金属配合物的-构型。以此方式，以高选择性获得β，γ-不饱和羧酸-苯胺。如由2，3-二氢呋喃，异氰酸苯酯和（Lig）Ni 0形成的金属环所示，如果β'-位被氧原子占据，则不会发生催化CC偶联。
