AbstractThe reaction of 5,7-dinitroquinolin-8-ol with hydrazinehydrate afforded 5-aminopyrido[2,3-d]pyridazin-8(7H)-one in 50% yield instead of expected product of reduction of the 7-nitro group, 7-amino-5-nitroquinolin-8-ol.
