first is a condensation of the thiosemicarbazide with the benzoyl chloride and the acetyl chloride for the PTS and MTS respectively in pyridinic medium. This step leads to the formation of 1‐benzoylthiosemicarbazide and 1‐acetylthiosemicarbazide.
