N-Unsubstituted diaryl, alkyl aryl and dialkyl ketimines are prepared in good yield at ambient temperature by the reaction of KOBut on oxaziridines having an α-hydrogen atom on the N-alkyl substituent; the mechanism and stereochemistry of the reaction are discussed.
