the enantioselective organocatalyzed oxidation of electron-poor alkenes. Readily or commercially available β-amino alcohols displayed catalytic activity in the asymmetric epoxidation of α,β-enones and β-peroxidation of nitroalkenes with tert-butyl hydroperoxide (TBHP) as the oxidant.
