The enantioselectivesynthesis of the C8-C20 fragment of curvicollide C has been accomplished. A catalyticasymmetricClaisenrearrangement (CAC), a diastereoselective methyl cupration of an alkynoate, and a Julia-Kocienski olefination served as key C/C-connecting transformations.
