Dinuclear palladium(<scp>ii</scp>) compounds with bridging cyclometalated phosphines. Synthesis, crystal structure and electrochemical study

Pd2[(micro-(C6X4)PPh2]2(micro-O2CR)2 [X = H, R = CH3 (3), CF3 (4), C(CH3)3 (5) and C6F5 (6); X = F, R = CH3 (7) and CF3 (8)], has confirmed its paddle wheel structure with two palladium atoms bridged by two acetates and two metalated phosphines in a head-to-tail arrangement. The Pd...Pd distances are in the range 2.6779(16)-2.7229(8) A. Under cyclic voltammetric conditions, compounds 3-6, in CH2Cl2 solution, were found
式Pd2 [(micro-(C6X4)PPh2] 2(micro-O2CR)2 [X = H,R = CH3(3),CF3(4),C( CH3)3(5)和C6F5(6); X = F,R = CH3(7)和CF3(8)],已确认其桨轮结构,其中两个钯原子由两个乙酸盐和两个金属化膦桥接从尾到尾的排列Pd ... Pd距离在2.6779(16)-2.7229(8)A.在循环伏安条件下,发现化合物3-6在CH2Cl2溶液中经历了可逆的氧化峰在电位值0.84-1.25 V的范围内。在更高的正电位(1.37-1.55 V)处观察到第二次部分可逆的氧化。对于化合物3-5在存在氯化物的情况下,第一次氧化变成一个双电子过程,大概会导致带有金属-金属键的中性[Pd(III)-Pd(III)]物种。
