The present invention relates to a process for the manufacturing of 5-substituted 3-aryl-3-(trifluoromethyl)-3,4-dihydro-2H-pyrroles of formula (I)
which comprises the following steps:
(i) reacting a compound of formula (II) with a isonitrile compound of formula (III)
in the presence of a metal catalyst to obtain compounds of formula (IV)
(ii) isomerizing compounds of formula (IV) to obtain compounds of formula (V) and
(iii) reacting the dihydropyrrole compound of formula (V) under acidic conditions, to obtain the compounds of formula (I), wherein X, n, Z, Y, and T are as defined in the description.
