    The invention provides a process for producing a transparent polyactic acid material, comprising the steps of: kneading a polyactic acid with a monomer having two or more double bonds in its molecule; molding the kneaded product at a temperature of from the melting point of the polyactic acid to 200° C. to obtain a molded article; quenching the molded article after molding; and subjecting the quenched molded article to crosslinking treatment so as to prevent molecules of the polylactic acid from undergoing recrystallization. Also disclosed is a transparent polyactic acid material produced by the process.

    A biodegradable aliphatic polyester, such as polylactic acid, is mixed with a monomer having allyl and molded into a molding having the crosslinking degree of the biodegradable aliphatic polyester increased. Thereafter, the molding is exposed to ionizing radiation to thereby obtain a molding excelling in heat resistance. Triallyl isocyanurate or triallyl cyanurate is used as the monomer having allyl.

    A method for manufacturing a molded part with an improved convenience and a high degree of efficiency in molding is provided, the molded part containing a biodegradable resin composite, which has the heat resistance in a wide temperature range and which is provided with the flexibility and the elongation in accordance with the use. A kneaded product of a biodegradable resin component and a cross-linkable monomer is prepared. The biodegradable resin component is cross-linked and ground to prepare a biodegradable resin cross-linking product powder. An impregnant at a temperature of 60° C. or higher, and lower than or equal to the melting point or degradation temperature of the biodegradable resin component is impregnated to prepare a molding material composed of a biodegradable resin composite powder. The molding material is heated to a temperature higher than or equal to the melting point of the biodegradable resin component to mold into pellets.
