  The complex compounds tris(triphenylarsine)- and tris(triphenylstibine)-chlororhodium(I)[RhCl(MPh3)3, M = As and Sb] have been prepared by interaction of MPh3 with bis(ethylene)chlororhodium(I). The complexes generally show behaviour similar to that previously described for tris(triphenylphosphine)chlororhodium(I).   The reaction of tris(triphenylphosphine)chlororhodium(I) with iodomethane is shown to give an octahedral complex of rhodium(III), [RhlCl(CH3)(PPh3)2(ICH3)], which contains not only a Rh–CH3 group, but also unusually, a firmly co-ordinated iodomethane molecule.
