    Medium-Scale Preparation of Useful Metabolites of Aromatic Compounds via Whole-Cell Fermentation with Recombinant Organisms
    摘要:
    The whole-cell fermentation of aromatic coumpounds with Escherichia coli JM109 (pDTG601) on a medium scale (10-15 L) produces enantiopure cyclohexadienediols. A detailed procedure for the fermentation is described, and yields for several metabolites are provided. A similar procedure using E. coli JM109 (pDTG602) affords catechols. The dienediols are useful for asymmetric synthesis, and several important targets originating from these metabolites are tabulated.

    Bismaleimides (BMI) exhibit excellent heat resistance (high Tg and high resistance to thermal decomposition) compared to epoxy resins and phenolic resins, and therefore, in recent years, more attention is paid to bismaleimides as a resin material for the next-generation devices represented by SiC power semiconductors, in addition to the investigation on the use of bismaleimides for electronic material applications. As such, conventional BMI's are known as highly heat-resistant resins; however, there is a demand for a resin having higher heat resistance for advanced material applications and the like. Thus, an object of the invention is to provide a novel maleimide compound having superior heat resistance. Disclosed is a substituted or unsubstituted allyl group-containing maleimide compound having a structure with three or more benzene rings, having one or more groups each having a substituted or unsubstituted allyl group, and having one or more maleimide groups.

    The present invention provides compositions and methods for the targeted delivery, release and/or formation of a drug compound at a target site(s) within the body of an individual, such as a diseased and/or inflamed tissue in the body of the individual. These compositions may comprise a halogenated phenol ring cleavably linked to a core structure of a drug compound. Due to the variety of substituents that may be utilized in forming the different types of linkages, numerous examples of drug compounds linked to a halogenated phenol ring are proposed. The present invention further provides compositions comprising halogenated phenol starting compounds that do not undergo cleavage during a dehalogenation reaction to form a drug compound in a targeted tissue when administered to an individual. Methods of administering these non-cleaving compounds are further provided.
