  N-Tosylalkanesulfenamides have been prepared via the reactions of alkyl halides with 2-methyl-2-pro-panethiolate followed by S-imination with chloramine T and the thermolysis. This method comprises the use of selective elimination of t-butyl group in S-alkyl-S-t-butylsulfilimines.
