Sulfine complexes of palladium and platinum (Ph3P)2M(R1R2CSO) (M = Pd, Pt; R1R2C = fluorenylidene; R1 = 2-methoxy-1-naphthyl, R2 = H) have been obtained by reaction of (Ph3P)2ML2 (L2 = (PPh3)2, C2H4) with sulfines. The platinum fluorenylidenesulfine complex could be prepared also from (Ph3P)PtSO2 and 9-trimethylsilylfluorenyllithium. Infrared, 1H, 13C, 31P and 195Pt NMR spectra show that the sulfines
