    我们介绍了idine衍生物的合成以及不同双(邻苯二甲酸酐)与1,8-二胺萘(1,8DAN)反应后获得的异构体的分离。分离的4'-(4,4'-异丙基二烯二苯氧基)双(邻苯二甲酸酐)(BPADA)的异构体在光学和电化学性质上存在显着差异,由于电氧化反应性发生了明显变化。计算出的HOMO能量和该轨道的可视化表明其在过碘代单元上的定位。因此,还进行了BPADA与2,3-二氨基萘的缩合反应,以得到萘并[2,3-d]咪唑单元作为末端基团,以比较其氧化反应性与哌啶链段。可以确认,由于电化学氧化作用,仅含哌啶的化合物具有反应性。然而,在含有异构体混合物的溶液中,我们只能得到可溶性产物。继而,在仅包含一种类型的异构体的溶液中,异构体的分离和电氧化导致产生固体和氧化还原活性产物。

    本发明涉及有机合成技术领域,具体涉及一种3,4’‑(4,4’‑异丙基二苯氧基)双(邻苯二甲酸酐)的制备方法,包括如下步骤:(1)双酚A、3‑硝基邻苯二甲腈、碱在有机溶剂中反应,得到产物1;(2)将产物1、4‑硝基邻苯二甲腈、碱在有机溶剂中反应,得到产物2;(3)产物2经水解、酸化、成酐后得到最终产物;或,双酚A先与4‑硝基邻苯二甲腈反应后,再与3‑硝基邻苯二甲腈反应,再经水解、酸化、成酐后得到最终产物。本发明首次公开关于3,4’‑(4,4’‑异丙基二苯氧基)双(邻苯二甲酸酐)合成路线,且反应条件温和,操作简便、易于控制,可在常规的玻璃仪器进行反应,易于工业化生产。

    A composition is described, which comprises a crystallizable polyetherimide derived from the polymerization of: (a) a dianhydride component, comprising more than 96.8 mole % of 4,4′-bisphenol A dianhydride or a chemical equivalent thereof; and (b) a diamine component comprising a diamine or a chemical equivalent thereof, wherein the crystallizable polyetherimide has a T m ranging from 250° C. to 400° C. and the difference between the T m and T g of the composition is more than 50° C. Further described are articles, such as fibers, made from the composition, methods for making the composition, methods for making the articles, and methods for using the articles.

    A method for the purification of a bisphenol A dianhydride composition includes contacting the bisphenol A dianhydride composition with a halogenated solvent to form a solution, and one or more of filtering the solution to remove ionic species; washing the solution with aqueous media to remove ionic species; crystallizing bisphenol A dianhydride from the solution to remove ionic species; and contacting the solution with an adsorbent to remove ionic species. A purified bisphenol A dianhydride composition is also described. The bisphenol A dianhydride composition can be used in the preparation of a poly(etherimide), and poly (etherimides) made from the bisphenol A dianhydride composition can be useful for forming a variety of articles.

    A varnish composition comprising a polyetherimide derived from reaction of 5,5'-[1-methylethylidene)bis(4,1-phenyleneoxy)bis-1,3-isobenzofurandione composition with an organic diamine; and a solvent in an amount effective for the polyetherimide to remain in solution at a selected temperature, wherein the 5,5'-[1-methylethylidene)bis(4,1-phenyleneoxy)bis-1,3-isobenzofurandione composition comprises: the 5,5'-[1-methylethylidene)bis(4,1-phenyleneoxy)bis-1,3-isobenzofurandione; 25 ppm or less each of sodium, potassium, calcium, zinc, aluminum, titanium, iron, chromium, molybdenum, nickel, and phosphorus ions; 50 ppm or less each of phosphate, sulfate, chloride, nitrate, and nitrite ions; 0.0001-10 wt% of residual 4,4'-BPA tetraacid; 0.0001-10 wt% of residual 4,4'-BPA diacid; and 0.00001-4 wt% of residual 4,4'-BPA imide-anhydride, each based on the total weight of the 5,5'-[1-methylethylidene)bis(4,1-phenyleneoxy)bis-1,3-isobenzofurandione composition, wherein a cured product of the varnish composition has a glass transition temperature of 150 to 300°C by DSC, preferably wherein the 5,5'-[1-methylethylidene)bis(4,1-phenyleneoxy)bis-1,3-isobenzofurandione composition comprises greater than or equal to 99 wt%, more preferably greater than or equal to 99.5 wt% of the 5,5'-[1-methylethylidene)bis(4,1-phenyleneoxy)bis-1,3-isobenzofurandione.
