  2,3-(Dihydro) bicyclic pyrazolidinones are intermediates for bicyclic pyrazolidinone antimicrobials.   Bicyclic pyrazolidinones which have antimicrobial and/or herbicidal properties are discussed. The use of these compounds in pharmaceutical compositions, herbicidal compositions, and methods for treating bacterial infections and controlling undesired plants is set forth.
