Reaction of alcoholic sodium alkoxides with (Me3Si)3CSi(C6H4-OMe-p)MeX have been performed. Main products are of the type: (Me3Si)2CHSi(An)Me(OR) and Me3SiCH2Si(An)Me(OR);An = (C6H4-OMe-p) and OR = OEt, OPr, O iso-Pr, OBu, O iso-Bu,O iso-Amyl, OBenzyl, OAllyl, Ofurfuryl. It is suggested that the reaction proceeds through an elimination-addition mechanism. We thank Dr. M. Mahkam for helpful comments
