  A new coordination network, namely {[Zn(bce)(H2O)]}(n) (1) (H(2)bce = 1,2-bis(4-carboxy-phenoxy)ethane), is reported. complex 1 shows a 3D (3,6)-connected rutile (rtl) topology.
