Abstract The catalyticoxidation of naphthalenes was investigated. Hydrogenperoxide (30% aqueous) was used as an oxygen source, and 2,2’-dinitro-4,4’-ditrifluoromethyldiphenyl diselenide was the oxygen-transfer catalyst.
