2-(Trimethylsiloxymethyl)phenyl isocyanide, 2-(CH2OSiMe3)C6H4NC (2) was prepared by reaction of 2-(trimethylsiloxymethyl)phenyl formamide, 2-(CH2OSiMe3)C6H4NHCHO (1) with trichloromethyl chloroformate.
